A kind-hearted, widowed landlord, Thakur, lives a wealthy lifestyle with his son, Ramesh; daughter, Roopa; and an adopted child, Shankar. Ramesh hates Shankar and often abuses him. Years pass by, Thakur has passed away, and all three children have grown up. While Ramesh visits a stunningly attractive Courtesan, Tara, drinks alcohol, and continues to abuse and mercilessly beat Shankar, who bears this in silence as he and Roopa are in love with each other. When Ramesh finds out that Roopa wants to wed Shankar, he has him severely beaten and thrown off a cliff. He then arranges Roopa's marriage with other wealthy man, Satish, while he continues to romance Tara and even signs over his entire estate and home to her name.
Educated Shankar bows to his Ramgarh-based widowed mother's wishes and gets married to child-like Lajjo, whose parents had followed tradition and had refused to educate their daughters for generations. Disgruntled with Lajjo, who is unable to distinguish salt from sugar, he keeps to himself, and decides to re-locate to Bombay when he finds out that his mother had mortgaged their house to pay for his education. After notifying them that he has secured employment, he does not write for several months. As a result, Lajjo travels to Bombay, locates his residence and moves-in. She is not aware that Shankar is very displeased with her presence, and will soon send her back, so that he can carry on his romance with wealthy Reema.
It's a story of a group of school boys on the threshold of their adolescent years going through the struggles as a student in a little Indian school. The film highlights the coming of age of school boys, tender romance, pranks, social stigma, and parental pressures and last but not the least our confused education system.

Tina Khanna (Eesha Deol), her friends Riya, and Coco, based in India, are invited to a wedding in Bangkok, Thailand. All three travel to Bangkok to attend the wedding. There, Tina meets with Vijay Chouhan (Zayed Khan), and both fall in love. Then Tina finds out that her Uncle Tony has been killed in an accident. She is given his belongings, and is thereafter thrust into a nightmare by a gang of people who will not stop at anything to get what Tony has left for Tina. She turns to Vijay for help, only to find out that he is Prakash Yogi, the brother of a criminal who belonged to the same gang as Tony, who were successful in robbing an armoured vehicle in India, three years ago. The only person who can now help Tina is in the Indian Embassy, Deepak Chopra, but he too has an ulterior motive.
